Metropolitan Cocktail Bar and Restaurant

Set in the historic Merchant Square, site of the famous Victorian Candleriggs market, Metropolitan dominates a covered courtyard with two balconies and a ground floor terrace area. Exposed stone walls provide a striking backdrop in both the bar and sprawling restaurant accessed from the cobbled street in this the oldest, but most fashionable, area of town.

Metropolitan can cater for a range of functions and is particularly suited to mid-week meetings and incentive or client dinners. Our plush private room is the perfect setting for small gatherings and can be set up theatre style or conference style, while the open, airy feel of our balconies provide more informal surroundings infused with the history of the Square. Our discreet service ensures a more pleasant experience than those offered by impersonal hotel functions rooms, and we can provide a delicious lunch or evening meal with accommodation at the nearby Somerset serviced apartments should you require it.

In addition to our regular pre theatre and a la carte menus, we offer a range of fixed price menus and buffets for larger groups. If our sample menus do not suit, please feel free to discuss any specific requests you may have our Chef is very flexible and will always try to accommodate them. Additionally, we are happy to assist with all aspects of your meeting requirements to ensure a memorable and productive event.
