Glasgow is one of Europe’s most vibrant and diverse destinations, and is recognised as a world-class city in which to live, work, study, invest, meet and visit.

To strengthen Glasgow’s image, reputation and market share, the city has reviewed its approach to tourism development and will prioritise the day visitor and overnight tourism markets.

This has resulted in the creation of the Tourism and Visitor Plan to 2023 - a framework for the continued growth of the city's tourism economy.

A new Leadership Group drawn from leading industry figures from the private sector and academia, together with senior representation from key public sector stakeholders including Glasgow LifeVisitScotland and Scottish Enterprise is responsible for championing the plan's implementation.
