Discovery Tour with UK Inbound

Organised in partnership with Glasgow Life, UK Inbound, VisitScotland and Scottish Development International, the Discover Workshop provided Glasgow’s tourism business with B2B opportunities to network with international agents and tourism operators.

All of the delegates who visited Glasgow during their 3 day visit were offered a Tennent’s brewery tour experience as part of their itinerary.

This provided Tennent's an excellent opportunity to engage travel trade buyers, and give them a real taste of Glasgow’s hospitality and directly experience one of Scotland’s most iconic brands.

The event was highly beneficial, as it will help raise awareness of a relatively new visitor attraction in the city, whilst giving individual operators a first hand experience of the Tennent’s Tour.

As suppliers to the travel trade, the Discover Workshop provided city businesses an opportuntiy to better understand the needs of buyers and through pre-arranged appointments, share more information about our product, including Tennent's Training Academy.

Taking the time to discuss in some detail how to do business with the travel trade will better equip all businesses to develop existing and new products for a growing international customer base.

The event was an excellent opportunity to promote Glasgow as a destination, and was well communicated and supported by city tourism partners.

To date, we have had excellent feedback and the follow up from the event has been positive, with additional enquiries from operators. We anticipate agreements will be reached between a number of buyers who want to engage with the Tennent’s Visitor Centre & Training Academy going into 2017 and beyond.
