The Glasgow Pavilion (stand D43) at this year’s VisitScotland Expo has been co-ordinated by Glasgow Life’s city marketing team in partnership with Scottish Enterprise to reflect the key strands of the Glasgow Tourism and Visitor Plan to 2023.

Branded with the city’s new destination marketing campaign, #NextStopGlasgow it will feature representatives from Glasgow Life’s city marketing; arts; heritage; music and major events teams as well as industry partners drawn from across the city’s tourism and hospitality sector.

With a full diary of more than 200 appointments with buyers from Glasgow’s key international markets, Team Glasgow will be on hand throughout VisitScotland Expo to provide information on everything from new city products for tour and group programmes, and sample itineraries to advice on access, accommodation, major events and more.

Industry partners exhibiting at The Glasgow Pavilion include Browns Brasserie and Bar; Mharsanta; Red Onion; Tennent’s Visitor Centre and Training Academy; Eat Walk Glasgow; Glasgow Music City Tours; The National Piping Centre; Once Upon a Whisky and Waxy O’Connor’s.

Glasgow Museums

Glasgow Museums offers unique experiences for tour groups in some of the city's finest buildings that will create lasting memories for group visitors. Mackintosh at the Willow

Miss Cranston’s original Glasgow Tea Room, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, has been fully restored as Mackintosh at the Willow; a £10m project four years in the making. As well as the iconic tearooms, Mackintosh at the Willow now features brand new meeting and events space; a creative learning and education hub; a retail store and an exciting exhibition telling the story of Mackintosh and Miss Cranston. The Burrell Collection

Glasgow’s word-renowned Burrell Collection is currently undergoing a £66m refurbishment of its Grade-A listed building and redisplay of its extensive Collection.

With 9,000 objects – from rare Chinese porcelain to modern masterpieces by Manet, Degas and Cézanne; objects from ancient civilizations to works by Rembrandt and Rodin – the Burrell Collection is undisputedly one of the world’s finest treasure houses and the project to redesign the building’s interior will allow for a far greater proportion of the collection to be displayed.

As well as improved facilities including a new café and retail space, landscaped terraces will link the museum to its parkland setting, enhancing the visitor experience.

When The Burrell Collection reopens to the public in 2021, catering provisions for the travel trade will be in place with ample seating for large group tours and bookings, and expert guides will be available to lead your guests through one of the most significant cultural collections to be found anywhere in the world. Trad Trail Evening Experience

Join Glasgow Music City Tours and Mharsanta for their new Trad Trail Evening Experience. A one hour guided walk around the Merchant City, participants will explore some of Glasgow’s oldest streets while expert guides share legendary tales of the songwriters and storytellers who have shaped Glasgow’s vibrant folk music culture.

Funny, entertaining and informative, this tour, which has been delighting Celtic Connections audiences for the last four years, is a cask strength celebration of Glasgow's traditional music scene.

Following the Trad Trail Tour, the story-telling experience continues at Mharsanta, Glasgow’s newest contemporary Scottish restaurant, where guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course dining experience featuring a selection of Scotland’s favourite dishes using only locally-sourced products accompanied by live Scottish traditional music. Browns Brasserie and Bar

Located within Glasgow’s iconic, 130-year-old ex-General Post Office building – on George Square in the heart of the city centre – Browns is a contemporary British brasserie serving brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner made with quality, fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients. Glasgow Museums

Tennent’s Visitor Centre and Training Academy

Tennent’s Brewery has been part of Scottish culture for generations. Their historic brewery in Glasgow’s East End has been producing award-winning beers since 1885 and is now home to The Tennent’s Story; the largest beer attraction in the UK. This immersive guided experience traces the history of Scotland’s oldest brewery, from the 1500s to the present day.

Glasgow Music City Tours

Once Upon a Whisky

Once Upon a Whisky’s dream is simple; to ignite a desire and passion for all things whisky within each of their guests. And they aim to do this by providing whisky tastings and guided whisky tours throughout both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

‘Once Upon a Whisky’ tours are based on education, culture and responsible drinking; showing guests how to enjoy whisky while learning curious facts and quirky stories about Scotland’s national drink.

The National Piping Centre

The National Piping Centre is a hidden gem in the heart of Glasgow. Eat Walk Glasgow

Eat walk Tours provides guided food and drink walking tours in Glasgow, Edinburgh and St Andrews. Tours take in five venues for food tastings with three stops including drinks tastings. Held at 1pm (Monday to Saturday) and 5pm (Monday to Thursday) throughout the year, each tour covers around two miles and equates to a two-course lunch with drinks.
