Glasgow Life is working with industry and tourism partners; Visit Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Glasgow Airport to refresh the city’s current Tourism and Visitor Plan.

Working with Toposophy, the aim is to have a new updated 2030 strategy, accompanied by a two-year action plan plus governance recommendations ready to launch by May 2023.

The strategic plan will be designed to put enhanced focus on sustainability, accessibility and tourism’s key role in contributing to the city’s economic recovery. We believe the following are integral to the strategy refresh:

  • Sustainability, responsible tourism and accessibility
  • Measurement, to shift away from volume/economic impact with greater focus on social and long-term value impact
  • Approach – Team Glasgow, increased industry participation
  • Glasgow City Region

As part of the process, we are keen to hear what you think about the city’s tourism offer. An online survey has been developed for Glasgow residents, or those with an interest, to share their thoughts.
