The £40m hotel has created 80 new jobs for the city and provides a vibrant new offering for visitors to Scotland’s largest city renowned for its culture, style and the friendliness of people.

In celebration of Glasgow’s strong cultural heritage and the hotel’s location with the city’s iconic theatre district, a dazzling troupe of local young people from Glasgow Ace Tribe Dance Company greeted the first guests arriving at the hotel.

Maldron Hotel Glasgow City, centrally located at the junction of Renfrew Street and Renfield Street, is a stunning 12-storey hotel.  It features new stylish spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, resident’s gym, and state-of-the-art business facilities. The hotel is also highly tech-enabled with chrome cast in each bedroom, digital check-in and a virtual guest services platform.

Maldron Hotel Glasgow City’s General Manager, Hazel Galloway commented: "What better way to mark our official opening today and welcome our first guests than an uplifting and energetic performance from the fantastic young members of Glasgow Ace Tribe Dance Company and I am also extremely proud of our own 80-strong team’s performance today! People are at the heart of our hotel, and they have worked extremely hard to ensure the finest welcome to our guests arriving today.
